Hey! The photo above is from my trip to Henan, China in August 2017.
My name is Omar and I am majoring in Computer Engineering, minoring in Cyber Security, and I hope to one day earn the title of "Electron Cowboy" -- because really, that's what us ECpE majors are, right?
If the past few years have shown anything about my work ethic, it is that I am an articulate, empathetic, self-starting, long-term solver of engineering problems. I wouldn't be myself if I wasn't busy taking risks, thinking of creative solutions to neat and pressing problems.
I have lots of in-class and on-the-job experience from working full stack to build mobile-friendly web apps to writing low-level software to be deployed on embedded systems. In fact, I am most satisfied when I'm working at maximum creative capacity, developing solutions that have me working at both high and low levels of application, as I did during my summer 2017 internship at MITRE.
My hobbies include content creation in the areas of 2D/3D animation, digital music composition, game designing, playing violin and piano, lifting, exploring nature, and being socially & politically active.
My hope is to use either my engineering or creative backgrounds, or both if possible, as well as my interpersonal skills to further develop professionally and further the growth of any professional establishment which I am afforded the opportunity to work with.
Let's talk!
